Many people are looking to learn Spanish online – as a matter of fact, that’s how I started learning Spanish.  Since the creation of the internet, many things have become simpler -  there’s online shopping, email instead of letters, and you can find information so easily, – heck, even find your home in the  satellite pictures on Google Earth.  But you might be thinking to yourself that since learning a language involves speaking, it may be one of the things you just can’t do online.  Well, I proof that’s not true.  If you type “learn Spanish online” into Google you get approximately 27 million results.  Now, as with anything else, I am sure many of these are useless  – but you see my point.

There are now many websites that allow you free access to conversation exercises and vocabulary drills among other things.   Most of them, of course, will have another more extensive version that you have to pay for, but you are able to learn an amazing amount of information for free.   For example, bestwaytolearnspanish.info offers a 6 day FREE course for learning Spanish.

So, you see, it is possible to simply sit in front of your computer and commence your lessons.  My one recommendation though, is that if you plan to learn Spanish online, don’t do what I did and go to an internet café to do so. If you do not have a computer try to find a friend that will let you borrow a laptop or come to their house to study.  Trust me when I say it is very difficult to do practice pronunciation when you have 20 people  sitting around and looking at you like you’ve lost your mind.
