How Is My Great Grandmother Connected To Affiliate Marketing?
In 1850, my great grandmother’s parents came to California with their three sons and their youngest daughter. Her name was Mathilda and she was only 17 years old. Her family was among the hundreds of thousands Americans and foreigners who arrived to the Western state in hope of finding gold.
The story that was passed through generations in my family insists that Mathilda, without any help, found one of the richest gold fields in Sierra Nevada. There is another story about her scandalous love affair with a handsome yet married man, who subsequently fathered my great grandfather. But we’ll talk about that some other time.
I’m sure you understand by now that Mathilda was an exceptional woman. The enormous fortune she had obtained in 1852 in California, was totally lost by her grandson, my grandfather, in 1929 in New York, when the stock market crashed. Fortunately, she had died 9 years earlier and was spared the disaster.
“Why are you telling me your family’s history?” I can almost hear you asking me now, “What does your grandmother have to do with affiliate marketing?” You’ll know soon, my friend. Don’t lose your patience.
An estimated 300,000 people, man, women and children, went to California in the middle of the 19th century, in search of fortunes. Only few of them discovered gold and became rich. Those were the ones who did not miss on the opportunity when it presented itself to them; then, they were blessed with the guts to take chances on the road to realize their dreams; and finally, they acquired the knowledge and the tools to achieve their goal. My great grandmother, Mathilda, was amongst them. She left us a great legacy: “He who dares - conquers.”
This is it, my friend. Affiliate marketing is the Gold Rush of the beginning of the 21st century. Don’t miss out on it. Grab the opportunity now, before it’s too late. If you want to fulfill your dreams of gold, have courage, get yourself the knowledge and the tools, and go get it!
Internet Land is already very sophisticated and developed, but it is still an infant. It is today just as California was in the 1850’s, packed with hidden treasures. But today you can dig it while sipping a drink in front of your computer, you don’t need a pan and a shovel and you are spared the hard physical work. Only the gold is still the same glittering metal. Anybody can dig it out, you too.
Today is the day. You don’t want to realize, 5 or 10 years from now, that you’ve missed the train. Always remember Mathilda: “He who dares - conquers.”
