Well, the first thing you need to consider is that if you want to grow your legs you also need to build muscle simultaneously in other parts ofyour body . Like I did, you will need to have a plan laid out according to your specific needs. Also and more importantly you will have to eat foods that will aid you inbuilding muscle giving you what your body will need in the process, such as protein, carbohydrates and my all time favorite, green tea for its anti oxidant properties.
For many would seem obvious but the best workout for building muscle in your legs, arms or in any other parts of your body you need to weight train hard and heavy. Please do not over do it. You should know your limits and avoid injury at all cost. Learn the best posture for each exercise you do, this is very important.
How Do You Build Muscle In Your Legs – Protein
Protein is the number one compound you need to get into your body when building muscle. It does not matter what you do, always have a good source of protein during your day. What are good sources of protein? Here are a few: eggs and egg whites, chicken (always try to aim for the breast), lean meats and fish like salmon and tuna to mention a few.
Have a good portion of protein before and after your workouts. This will help your muscles to get the nutrients they need in order to grow and recover every time after the workout. I usually make me a shake that contains two cups of 1% milk, two eggs, two scoops of protein powder, two table spoons of creamy peanut butter, half of a banana and half a cup of oat meal. This is close to 1000 calories, if not more, before my workout – did I mention muscles grow on calories?
So if you want your muscles to grow eat your protein, consume most of your calories early in your day, workout hard and heavy, eat small meals every three to four hours, sleep andyour body will take care of the rest. Of course there is more to it that just the above.
