Baseball Batting Practice with the Derek Jeter Hurricane Batting Trainer
As a parent, what can you do to help your child become a better hitter in baseball? You take your child to practice and you see him/her struggling to hit a baseball. What you do? What can you do? You notice the coaches are trying their best to teach the players how to hit a baseball – but their time spent with your child is limited because as coaches they have other players to coach in a limited amount of time. As a parent – what can you do to help. You really want them to succeed and become a better hitter. A better baseball player. You hear the coach telling the players – to get better you need to practice, practice and practice! Work hard and good things will happen. At baseball batting practice, the players wait their turn to go up and bat. Once up there they try their best – but they still struggle.
As a former youth baseball coach, I also preach the philosophy of practice, work hard and good things will happen – but what I also preached is – to become a better player (in any sport) you need to also practice on your own. Practice outside of regular baseball practice. Spending time to fine tune your skills. A little known fact that a lot of people don’t know is that hitting a baseball is considered the hardest thing to do in sports, in any sport. It takes time, effort and commitment to master this skill.
As a parent – how can you help. Well for one – being a supportive parent is the natural thing to do. Being there for your child – bringing positive energy and encouraging them to strive to do their best is always the right thing to do. But what else can you do to help…… how about private hitting lessons. Great! but what if you can’t afford to send your child to a professional hitting instructor. Hitting lessons can range from several hundred dollars to several thousands. Scheduling, commuting and hours spent there can be a conflict. Another option is – you could take your child to the local batting cage. That’ll be fun…..waiting your turn for the next open cage… then waiting for the attendant to fix the malfunctioned machine. What else?……Well – I’ve found a baseball training tool that can save you time, money and can be used right at home.
The Derek Jeter Hurricane Batting Trainer is a solo swing training tool that is the ideal baseball swing trainer for the beginning little league player as well as the high school all-star. This durable machine with its integrated ball and stick means your child can practice on their own anytime — no more running after balls! It provides an immediate feedback on bat speed, power and eye hand coordination.
Its heavy duty construction, but lightweight (37 pounds) this machine is easy to move. It is simple to set-up and requires no tools. A great feature of this batting trainer is that it is portable. Break it down and take it with you to baseball practice to share with your teammates. This is a fantastic hitting aid for use at tournaments or at any weekend games. It’s perfect for pre-game warm-ups.
